SCOPE OF WORK
TGP delivered generators and gas turbines from various origins in Europe and North America via Belfast, Northern Ireland to a power plant in Antrim, Northern Ireland – with door-to-door responsibility. The project consisted of 4 heavy lifts up to 400 mt each and 4 vessel charters within a period of 6 months. The transport included several bridge assessments and modifications.
It was the first time a convoy execution has been carried out in Northern Ireland. The generators were the heaviest items ever transported overland in Northern Ireland, which required considerable advance planning, liaison with local authorities and route planning by TGP’s experienced team over the course of several months.
